I feel  nervous about athletics because  there will be a big crowd 

I would like to achieve my high jump because i want to be able to get over the bar

my favourite event is running

  

Math

We have been learning about Time the numbers you need on a clock is 3, 6, 9 and 12 because they all have a special meaning. 12 means o'clock  9 means quarter to 6 means half past and  3 means 1/4 past.

Athletics

My favorite activity is running i like running 100m  i like practicing because it makes us fit

I have learned to run at the same speed all the time.

Coraline

Coraline is the book that my group has been reading. My favourite part is when she meets the mice and found out that the crazy man upstairs was called Mr dodo. 

Long jump

This week we learnt how to do long jump. When we  were jumping some of us did small jumps some of us did long jumps for long jump you have to swing your arms and run and then jump and land on two feet.

SPLASH!!!!!! I just went down the hydro - slide I felt really nervous. but i liked going down it  so I went up the windy stairs and went down the Hydro - slide again  again and again till we had to go back to school.

Conference

I didn't like my conference, because I don't like sharing my work.
I did like sharing the Google Doc documents.
Mum and Dad said they liked my story writing and the way I planned my stories

I am looking forward to be showing Mum & Ruby & Dad my writing.

Paper Planes

Zoom my plane comes twirling past

 I throw it again it twists and turns. 

I throw it again it glides and crashes 

I throw it again it darts across the sky. 

I throw it again over a big fan and it dived into the bush.

It did a groovy spin and fell on its nose and did a nose dive. 

It flips and dives and swirls around.

Matariki

We made flax flowers and matariki stars and had a hangi. It was yum! It was hard to make the flax flower. We got to see the food cook.

My Mask Reflection

We first made masks to represent ourselves.
I enjoyed paper macheing the balloon to make a mask.
I added beads to my mask because I like sparkly stuff.
What I found difficult was not painting over the white.
Next time I will try not to knock the ear off.

The Zoo on Mothers Day

 We went to the Zoo on Mothers Day.  The Parakeet flew into Ruby's push chair and it woke her up.

 Then we went to see the Tiger, we listed to someone talk about the Tiger.

We saw the Rhino's and my sister like them.

Why would the teacher come to school with a suit case full of Jelly Beans?

One possible reason is that she wanted to give the class a treat, or to make a treasure hunt, or to give them out to people who work hard.

Growing crystals

Yesterday we  made sugar solution. First Mrs Natsuch mixed sugar and hot water. Then she poured  it into our cups. Then we tied string to an ice block stick. Then we put it on a window sill.

Glow worm life cycle

Glow worms start as an egg. They stay as an egg for 3 weeks. Then they turn into a glow worm. They stay as a glow worm for 9 months.

Waitomo caves

Yesterday we went to the waitomo caves. When we got onto the bus it was a very long trip on the bus. When we got off the bus we went into the cave. It was really cool. We saw glow worms they were little dots that were different colours. Then we went on a boat ride  the  guide told us about people discovered the caves. When we had finished the guide said girls onto the ramp and boys into the river but boys didn't follow the instruction! Then we went on a bush walk we saw lime stone.  Some people took the lime stone  home.

  

Tug of War

Muddy cave

One dark gloomy night an alien appeared  at a concert. He smashed the popcorn store and took it all!

So we followed, him me and Chloe fell down a hole it was so dark. Suddenly there was a bright  light in the hole. Inside the hole it was sticky and muddy. the light was a torch held by two gnomes one called Thomas and the other called Ashton. "Hello" said Ashton "Hello" said Thomas. They copied each other! An owl flew in and perched on my head!
